Amaaaaaazing Day!

I had an absolutely amazing day today.  After spending 31 years super morbidly obese and permanently releasing 123.4 lbs since starting my amazing WLS journey, I did a 10k today!  It was the AIDS Walk in San Francisco..  I even jogged for a while.  What?!

I did the walk with 2 other Bari Peeps and my bestie, my nephew, and his *** hag (my nephew is queer too.)  It was a lot of fun, completely exhausting, and it was actually pretty emotional as well.  10k is 6.4 miles.  And when we rounded the 6 mile mark I became quite emotional.  I never imagined in my entire life (well... in the past 31 of my 39 years) that I could be healthy enough to do this walk - let alone jog part of it! I'm an athelete now! I've released 123.4 lbs! I'm healthy! I'm vibrant!  I wear normal sizes and I can shop in normal even boutique shops!   I am freeeeeeeeee! Is this really happening? Did I truly become the woman I barely dared to dream of becoming? Yes! Wow! Amazing doesn't even come close to describing the feeling I have.  But I think if you're reading this, you might have an idea as to how I feel right now!

I am so grateful I chose to walk this healthy & vibrant life!

Congratulations!!!  It is quite exhilarating, isn't it???  I remember running the Capital 10K in Austin in 1999.  I was 200 pounds and I was so proud to be running past those Bow Head Sorority girls in full makeup.
